Tell Me About It. Part 1

As I looked out the window of our moving truck I could see my friends go from people to looking like smudges on a piece of paper. The thought of this made my head feel like it was going to explode like a cherry bomb because I knew that I would have to go into this new neighborhood, new house, and new school trying to make friends. I could hear my daddy singing my name in the place of some corny song that he always attempts to sing but can never remember all the words. I try my best to ignore him but it seems to me like the more I try the louder he gets, so I close my eyes and try to take a nap. When I wake up we arre parked outside our new house and my dad is talking to a group of boys asking them if they want to make a few extra bucks. As I scanned the small crowd I could tell that the boys had to be around my age and only one of them are  cute in my opinion. Once I got out the car I heard my dad say "Ash, go take your underwear box in the house. The boys are gonna do the rest." I could feel my face turn hotter than the sun and if I were a cartoon I am sure that there would be smoke whistling out of my ears. One of the boys laughed and handed me the box that was labeled "under Ash" out of the back of the truck. I quickly shot him a glare that could shut him up and snatched the box out of his hands. While walking up the steps that led to my room I took the time to think of all the possible ways I could yell at my dad for embarrassing me. After putting the box down in the corner of my room I headed back down stairs and into the back yard. I gazed at the deep blue pool that my dad had to come and clean the day before since  I told him that the first thing that I wanted to do after arriving at the new house was go swimming. When I looked up I could see a red headed boy peaking over our fence, smiling.
I looked back and asked "Can I help you with something".
He laughed and said "you could help me figure out your name".
"It's Ashton. Why"?
"Does there have to be a reason"?
"Apparently if I'm asking".
"My name is Avery", he laughed.
"I don't remember asking".
"Well, we are neighbors so I thought you ought to know".
I didn't reply right away I was too busy counting all of his little orange freckles. There had to be at least two hundred of them on his face alone.
"Ashton! Will you come"?
"Come where"?
"To the skate park at seven like I just said".
"uuuhhh, I don't know, maybe".
"Well, see you there.....maybe".
This was so weird. I just got here and I already got invited somewhere by a boy, a cute one that has freckles. I like him, I want to go but there was something about him that told me I shouldn't I Just can't point it out right now.
